X8310 Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY5/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 23.2.26. NEW SIDE LEVERS & TORSIONALLY FREE GEARS. NEW PHANTOMCodename for PHANTOM I. I thought we were issuing these for the present Series of B.2. 100 chassis. Since this sheet was standardized the question has arisen in regard to how we are going to fit the new change lever on its shaft. If we are to have it on B.2. and this could be done if I issue instructions at once and cancel the old type box, it will be necessary for us to decide whether we shall use taper serrations or the new scheme which we have recently issued to West WitteringHenry Royce's home town proposals embodying slower tapers and stronger teeth. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} [Handwritten note] I find we have already ordered B2 old type in view of above. I have 100 chassis & prefer to let it stand. By | ||
