Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your letter of the 2nd instant.

Bentley Sparking Plugs.

We note you cannot do with a short barrel on these plugs, and we will, therefore, as suggested, proceed to develop a long barrel plug on the lines of X512, but with sparking points similar to X523.

Merlin Sparking Plugs.

We note that you require further 24 X465S/3 screened plugs for a full engine test, and as promised we are making these up and will despatch them to you on Friday next, 10th. We are assuming that you will not require the cable fittings but just the plug with screening sleeve. If it should be that you do require the cable fittings would you please let us know immediately.

We understand that you are arranging to carry out a flight test on the Merlin engine with a full set of A14/1 type plugs, and that you have these plugs (presumably with "D" type terminal) in readiness.

We should be glad if you would be good enough to keep us advised of the progress of this test.

Yours faithfully,
LODGE PLUGS LIMITED.
