x60026a Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wat.2/MA. 2nd July, 1936. Messrs. Lodge Plugs, Ltd., RUGBY. Dear Sirs, In reply to your letter of the 27th ultimo, reference BH/EW, our remarks are as follows :- (a) Bentley Sparking Plugs. We regret that we cannot agree to a short barrel on these plugs for various reasons and we must ask you to still experiment with the longer barrel type in which case we should like you to modify an X512 sparking plug with sparking plug point electrodes similar to the X523. (b) Merlin Sparking Plugs. Before we can further test the X405 S/3 we require 24 fully screened plugs as the plugs you originally sent to us are not in a fit state for long endurance running. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
