A scheme was also incorporated for reducing the rear braking so that the proportion of front to rear was 0.865 against 0.69 on standard Phantom III. This was a marked improvement as it reduced skidding of the rear wheels when braking heavily and also improved the stopping distance. No adverse effects were felt.
