Biraben} c. to ROY{Sir Henry Royce}/DN ROY{Sir Henry Royce}9/MG28.6.32 Axle Springs We would confirm our conversation with BY this day re above, and attached please find detailed statement of our present stock of 40/50 HP. Normal type Axle Springs, amounting to some 100 in all. I understand it is now definitely agreed these stocks will be used up and that there is no occasion for us to buy new Springs of the low rated type pending absorption of the stock in question. I am advised that from time to time cars come into the Repair Department at Derby, also Cricklewood and new Springs are fitted thereto, the old Springs being returned to Stores, whereas the procedure that should be followed, providing time permits, is to convert the existing springs to our later practice. The Springs in our list against which a star is affixed represent those we are using chiefly to-day. You will note we had considerable stocks of the lighter type 40/50 HP. Springs - particularly rears - and it is these that possibly we may not absorb. ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} ENCLOSURE. List. | ||
