Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}/Mcr10/L9314. X3066 Re Standardization of Chassis Parts. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} 9-3-14. In reference to the three requests that you have made to Mr Wormald re standard-izing parts for the chassis, we would like to point out that it was recently agreed that before the standardization signatures were obtained it was necessary to ascertain the difference in weight that the part made to the chassis, also the difference in cost, and thirdly, the value of the parts that would be scrapped in the Stores by the adoption of the new part on a certain series. In the three instances you have requested us to sign, we notice that you have not done this. As you are aware we have in the past been responsible for obtaining all this information, which unfortunately necessitates rather a long routine of work but which at the same time is considered to be worth the labour of doing, as it puts the people who have to sign in the position of knowing more clearly what the change involves. We understand that you yourself H O 34. | ||
