Item 11 not on agenda. 20/25 Material beyond "U" Series.

Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} said that a saving of about £5. per chassis can be made by using Luvax central lubrication pump and fittings in place of the special RR. parts. The Luvax have given complete satisfaction so far as tests have gone and are likely to be more reliable than the more costly RR. fittings.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} and HY.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} were requested to look into this with a view to adoption at the earliest possible date.

Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} agreed to the ordering up of 100 sets of material forthwith subject to:-

(1) Hold up exhaust system pending experimental tests on resonant silencer.

(2) Hold up central lubrication fittings (see above)

(3) Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} must be sure to use up any suitable material in stock as far as ever possible before ordering new.

(4) Hold up radiator material for one month or until Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} has reported on film block radiator.

(5) Hold up frame sides. HY.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} to look into the relative costs of hot and cold pressings including die costs, and report to Wer. who will communicate with Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}

Item 12 not on agenda. Vacuum operated clutch.

Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} instructed that Experimental Dept. try out and report on this device as soon as possible. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} said that an experimental car was now being fitted up for trial.
