Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} reported that the modified armature was on test and BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} said that the cutting in speed was lower but that the charge tailed off too quickly. A modification is being put in hand to correct this.

R.{Sir Henry Royce} reported that a design was being prepared to allow of P.II dynamo being fitted to 20/25 engine. He said that considerable alteration was necessary. It was decided to go on with the work.

Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} reported that the voltage control system was being tried out and that C.A.V. and Scintilla units had run about 6000 miles each.

Item 10 on agenda. 16-G-4 and Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Eml/T19.5.32 and whether the expense being incurred on experimental work on this car is worth while - i.e. what is it with a view to doing?

Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} said that when 29-G was taken from R.{Sir Henry Royce} for use as a trials car, 16-G was sent to R.{Sir Henry Royce} to take its place and was chosen as it has many features which interest him.

J.1 head is fitted which gives improved performance over standard China. This head can be fitted to China if necessary to improve upon the present standard of performance.

Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} was requested to fit a J.1 head to one of his existing China engined cars for further tests and so that it may be seen and tried by Sales Dept officials. It should, if possible, have only one carburetter instead of two as fitted to 16-G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp}
