To BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from DA. {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to HS. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to TB. c. to RHC. {R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} c. to EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} X.4309 DA {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} 1/AH7.1.21. ------------ X.4309 RE "CONDOR" STARTER GEAR" ------------------------ The print of "N" Scheme 713 sent to you on the 4th instant (DA {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} 5/CB4.1.21) did not contain a washer at the back of the spring for centering the trunnion, and I should be glad if you would include this feature on your details. I am accordingly sending you a fresh print of "N" Scheme 713 shewing this washer in conjunction with a slight set-back in the collar of the control rod to keep the correct length of spring.
