instrument board. ✓ We have condemned the Galliator thermostat controlled shutters as being unreliably worked out. We have agreed to, and suggested the Foxboro' thermometer with hand controlled louvres to maintain the temperature under the bonnet in the winter time, and to prevent freezing.

We are satisfied that the American manufactured rear springs are, as far as we can ascertain, quite satisfactory.

We wish them to adopt the R.R. system of wiring with the one earth connection as carried out experimentally on 4 EX. and 6 EX. We have approved of their gear driven speedometer, and the only thing we know they are waiting for is the final arrangement of the rear tank, which is now being redrawn.

We have now examined the following switch boxes sent from U.S.A., and taken from U.S.A. cars, ① the Delco from the old Buick,② the Connecticut,③ the Westinghouse from 4 EX,④ the U.S.A. Bosch sent from Springfield and the ⑤Delco from the Marmon car.
