BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} C. to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} PEREGRINE STEERING COLUMN. We send herewith W.sch.3642., the top part of the scaled down column. It will be noticed that we have not scaled down the wheel or the controls, though it has been necessary to reduce the wheel boss, and the boss of the control quadrant holder. We have also found it necessary, in order to keep the thicknesses reasonable, to scale down the central switch as compared with the 25HP. We have added some notes as to what is to happen to the brackets attaching the column to the dash. This we think concludes the information we expect to send you on this steering column.
