Regarding the failure to engage I cannot see how this can happen if the teazer current is sufficient to turn the motor withoutload.

I believe that something had happened that the motor did not revolve.

Will you kindly investigate the conditions when failure occurs. Is the motor stopped by the pinion or has the motor no power to turn its shaft?
Or, if we remove the end pressure from the solenoid, (take out the core) will the motor then turn its shaft and the pinion?
