time ago, we fitted a new set of K.L.G. type 850 plugs; trouble developed with these plugs a day or two ago and we have fitted a set of Bosch plugs in their place. The owner telephoned to say he considers that his car is now running much better than it has ever done. It is interesting to note that he informed us that he always used "ESSO" and that the car is almost always used in Paris.

Although nothing has been definitely proved, it would seem, as far as we can tell at present, that a lead deposit may be forming on the insulation of the K.L.G. plugs and, in connection with our memo Sr/WHAI/Crn.20.II.35, we are going to try and find out from the customers in question what petrol they have been using and, as soon as we have the information, we will drop you a line. The information may possibly be a little vague, but it may be of a certain interest.

We will let you know the results of our tests as soon as possible.
