X135) /7800 [struck through] x8800 We are sending youa sample of one of these lamps which has been submitted to us by Messrs Lucas, and was prepared at our request to meet the demand for a centre lamp in the place of the Stephan Grebel which we have been using up to the present. The lamp has been arranged so that the angle of dip and twist is obtained by moving the reflector inside the lamp instead of moving the whole lamp, the advantage being a symmetrical appearance outside. We think also that the lamp being straight will give us a little more clearance Though we think that the lamp is not all that could be desired we suggest that it is good enough to try, and we shall be very much obliged if you could fit it to a car. As we understand it is desired to fit this arrangement on Phantoms it will be necessary for it to be fitted to Phantom to see if there is clearance with the starting handle when the shutters are open. Would Derby please take the car to London to be inspected by Sales. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
