To Mr. Mattinson. A.R.P.

Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/MH.{M. Huckerby}5.12.39.

This is to confirm my telephone conversation with you today that normal work is now being commenced in the Experimental Car Garage and this necessitates the removal of the heap of sandbags over the Pit, which at the present moment, constitutes an obstruction.

We should be glad to know whether provision has been made since the War started to accommodate the personnel who were going to use this Pit as a shelter.

Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}
