| 1204. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} ALL OFFICIALS & SUPERINTENDENTS. Sft.{Mr Swift}3/BH.5.12.39. Commencing Monday December 4th, the Company will establish an office at the Alvis Motors Ltd., Coventry, for the purpose of being in direct touch with suppliers in the Coventry district. Mr. Wallis will be the Area Manager and will deal with both Sub-contract work and with other suppliers of material, i.e. Forging, Casting, Pressing, Machinery, Tools, etc., both for production and Experimental purposes; therefore, it is essential that full use be made of this service. Sft{Mr Swift}/CH. and Roy{Sir Henry Royce} should in future post to Mr. Wallis at the Alvis Motors Ltd., copies of all orders placed in this area, to ensure the scheme working satisfactorily.
