We have gone into this matter a little further, and send three schemes herewith - N. schemes 3693/96/99., shewing some suggestions for this type pf drive. It will be seen that there are two types of drive proposed - the central torsion shaft, and the Bibby type of plate springs. The general isea in both cases is due to R.{Sir Henry Royce} We have as far as possible endeavoured to use an existing clutch and crankshaft so that the experiment can be tried with the minimum of delay.
