PEREGRINE CLUTCH.

We wish to stop all work on the Peregrine clutch to arrangement drawing G.100500. We expect to replace this clutch with one made to N.Sch.3654.

The flywheels which are all ordered to the old scheme can be used for the new scheme. It would appear however that we shall have to scrap the pressure plate forgings if they have been delivered.

The advantages we get out of the new clutch are :-

(1) Flexible back plate which considerably reduces our flywheel period.

(2) Cast iron wearing surfaces instead of mild steel.

(3) Easy adjustment for clutch operating levers.
