Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/WJ.11.9.30. X7772 V7330 HAND BRAKE ON THE LEFT-HAND CHASSIS. We find that we are rather short of movement on the hand brake lever at the present time. We use seven notches in taking up the clearance of the brakes and the spring in the brake drums. The narrow hand brake shoes increase this spring a certain amount. When we have taken up seven notches we then have only three notches left for wear. We consider this insufficient, and recommend that we increase the movement of the brake lever so that we have at least a total of twelve notches. One notch adjustment is equal to three notches on the brake lever. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
