Coverley - Production Engineer} Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Y2924. re Peregrine. -------------- With further reference to memo E.1/HP.20.9.32, a meeting was held this afternoon of Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} and E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} when the following dates were agreed for completing the instructions for the various items outstanding for Peregrine. (1) Engine Mounting. By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} will complete details of engine mounting for Peregrines 2 and 3 this week. (2) Cylinder Head. Instructions for this section will be cleared about 23/9/32. (3) Camshafts. Particulars of the new cam shapes will be issued by the 28th inst. and RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} will require 10 days after this for producing the actual forms. (4) Petrol Pump. Details of the improved scheme - LeC. 3184 will be issued by the 28th inst. (5) Extra Cylinder Lubrication. The modification mentioned here is one for which we shall require two or three weeks to work out, but this will not interfere with the completion, or testing, of Peregrines 2 and 3. (6) Propellor Shaft. Details will be completed for the shortened propeller shaft this week-end, and for the modification to the sliding joint by the 28th inst. (7) Clutch. Waiting for WW. (8) Gearbox. A slight modification involved to the gearbox for the automatic control to the shock dampers will be completed within the next four weeks, in conjunction with the main damper scheme. (9) Shock Dampers. The automatic control will require about four weeks to complete, but will not | ||
