(3) E.1/HP.20.9.32. ---------------- gear lever sideways. A further scheme however, is required for stiffer levers to get rid of the sideways vibration, which is considered objectionable. (13) Dynamo. Peregrines 2 and 3 will be built up with standard third brush dynamo like the first chassis. We have a scheme in hand however with a view to using the C.A.V. vibrator control, and cut out unit in conjunction with a plain shunt wound dynamo, with a view to finally standardizing this latter scheme for Peregrine. (14) Carburetter Starter Control. A scheme for this - LeC.3209 is being issued, even date, and will be required on Peregrines 2 and 3 fitted with the semi-expanding RR. carburetter. (15) Oil Sump. With regard to the question of oil sump drainage, the side drain plug is instructed for Peregrines 2 and 3, as on the first chassis, but we are working on an improved scheme for draining the dirty oil away by means of a cock having a control handle on the upper part of the crankcase.
