Cricklewood Works, London, N.W.2. 1158 17th February, 1941 W.A.Robotham, Esq., Messrs.Rolls-Royce Ltd., D E R B Y. Dear Robotham, Many thanks for yours of the 14th the contents of which I note. I am sorry to learn that you consider our standard unit incapable of functioning satisfactorily in the capacity of both a heater and windscreen defroster. You are so very thorough with your test arrangements that I dare not challenge your opinion but, at the same time, we do make this claim. I will agree with you that perhaps the volume of hot air is insufficient on the coldest days but am hoping that the new unit which we have laid out will answer your every requirement. Am disappointed that conditions will not permit us to furnish you with a handmade sample in time for test this winter. With renewed thanks for your interest, Sincerely yours, Charles Ainsworth | ||
