For the attention of Mr. E.W. Hives.

Dear Sirs,
We have often approached you re Houdaille Shock Absorbers, wondering why you will not fit these to your cars.

Last year after we had been instructed by H.R.H. The Prince of Wales to fit a pair to the back of his new Rolls and shortly afterwards received his instructions to remove your Shock Absorbers from the front to fit Houdailles, we wrote you on the matter and asked us to send you up some for test, which however you did not test as they were returned unused.

We are again tempted to write you because we are always fitting Rolls Royce cars both back and front with Houdaille Shock Absorbers. We do not in every case receive testimonials because with the average person one can take it that the best testimonial is hearing nothing, as they are ready enough to complain if they are not satisfied. We cannot, however, refrain from enclosing a letter received by our Works from the chauffeur of Mr. F.{Mr Friese} Fisher, 25, Throgmorton Street E.C. The points in his letter not concerning Houdailles are with reference to the Berkshire Wiper as we have asked him to let his car come in to have the new series fitted.
