THE HOUDAILLE HYDRAULIC SUSPENSION The great feature of this testimonial, however, is that Mr. Fisher informed us that he got in touch with you saying he wanted some Shock Absorbers fitted to the rear of his car and you recommended Hartfords which he fitted and very soon removed. He then came to us - entirely on his own initiative - and we fitted Houdailles to the rear of his car and, similarly to the Prince of Wales, he was soon back to have your Shock Absorbers taken off the front and Houdailles fitted. You will note the impressions of Mr. Fisher's chauffeur who, incidentally, is quite unknown to the writer who has never even seen him, and we are wondering whether you are absolutely wedded to the friction type Shock Absorber with its necessarily constant variations or whether you are disposed to test Houdailles right out. You cannot test them to destruction, and you cannot even cause wear in them, and if you care to have a sample sent you and dismantle them you would find that every part there would be worthy of your car. The enclosed line drawing will show you the simplicity of construction and also Houdaille's master patent Automatic Recuperation which excludes air at all times from the working chamber; hence our 12 year old slogan the efficiency of Houdailles never varies. To have Houdailles standardised by you is one of our keenest ambitions and we can quote you on today's exchange the absurdly low price of £3.10.0. per pair for standardisation. We shall be very pleased to equip any of your cars you might care to test if you would prefer us, in the first instance, to do so. Yours faithfully, THE HOUDAILLE HYDRAULIC SUSPENSION Co., LTD. | ||
