A.T. SPEEDOMETERS.

Referring to BY {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} /Mtn10/G3.12.26. - we thank you for sending sample of A.T. instrument incorporating some new features. Generally speaking, we approve of this and are returning it to you under separate cover.

The examination of this particular instrument has brought to light an objection to A.T. Speedometers which is really very noticeable - i.e. that the position of the Trip indicator renders it impossible for them to mark '40' and '50' which are two of the most important index figures on the whole instrument from the point of view of general use.

We are therefore arranging for one of our Representatives to go down to see the A.T. people with some suggestions as to how this can be improved and we shall ask them to make up a sample dial to shew us what they can do in this direction and we will then show you.

You will readily appreciate our point if you will look at any of their instruments, or the one we are returning.

We gather that you will now test the new instrument and adopt it as soon as possible if it passes its tests satisfactorily.

We notice that the sample has a very loose glass and we think A.T's attention should be drawn to this as it might quite easily make a lot of noise.
