Connecting Rods LOP.EB.2704. have been crack tested and are O.K.

Big-End Bearings, 1,2 and 3 in A.C.S.S. and 4,5 and 6 in A.C.G.S.
Despatched 13. 2. 37. - mileage 12,550.

These were in excellent condition, being smooth of surface and free from cracks and grooves, although considerable distortion has taken place. Photographs and measurements are sent herewith.

Aerolite Pistons, Identification No. M.12.

Only three of these pistons are the original ones, the others being replacements for the pistons damaged by broken valves.

The grooves have worn very little and charted measurements of the profiles are sent herewith. The rings, too, have not worn appreciably as regards thickness, and a chart showing the increase in gaps is included on the piston chart. No pistons were cracked.

Cylinder Block EB.2929.

Charted measurements herewith. Bores 3 and 4 scored by broken valves.

Dynamo and Idler Gears in SZNX (Soft) Brinell 364-387.

There was no appreciable increase in backlash in any of the engine gears.

Oil Pump LOP.EB.2216. 22° Helical Gears.
Despatched 19. 2. 37., mileage 12,950.

Condition good. Little or no wear in bushes or spindles.

Water Pump LOP.2706.

In good condition, wear on spindle and bushes being slight. Special gland-packing in good condition.
