X.3398. Extract from letter to Mr. Minchin, of the PETO & RADFORD COMPANY, 50 GROSVENOR GARDENS, LONDON S.W.1. Mr. Hives has now returned from his visit to West WitteringHenry Royce's home town, during which he has shown Mr. Royce the samples. He tells me that he practically got Mr Royce to agree to the standardisation of the BD.{Mr Berend}11 battery, but we are still awaiting the standardisation sheets to be returned from Mr. Royce duly signed. With regard to the other suggestions, I really personally think it would be a pity to do anything different especially now as I feel there is so much more hope of the BD.{Mr Berend}11 coming through.
