15,000 MILES TEST

Bentley III.

Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} has written to me that in view of the shortage of B.III cars, it is absolutely imperative that we should avoid an accident with this car, and he wishes me to impress this on all drivers. He adds, that no consideration will be shown to anyone who has an accident in this car, unless it can be proved without doubt that it was not their fault.

I would like to add to this that whilst we have in B.III a car which is considerably more controlable under all conditions than the cars to which we have previously been accustomed, and which should therefore be extremely safe in emergencies; these characteristics are also likely to lead you to maintain higher speeds than you realise.

I would therefore, urge you to always slow down for all obstructions considerably sooner than you really feel is necessary.
