Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 247 41 Digby Mansions Hammersmith London.W.6 The Manager Experimental Dept, Messrs Rolls Royce Ltd. Derby. Dear Sir, I visited your stand at the Motor Show, & told one of your representatives about a Petrol Gauge. He advised me to write to you & make an appointment when a car with one fitted could be brought to Derby. My friend (an amateur Mechanic) has made Gauges which have been fitted to my car, three of his cars, & also to those of two or three of his friends. These Gauges have in every way given complete satisfaction, being absolutely reliable & extremely accurate. In particular they have been most useful in preventing overfilling from the pump. I could bring a car up any day after Oct 31st if you will be good enough to let me know. I remain your's faithfully. J A Hartcup Captain Retd- | ||
