78900 S/W. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Copy to:- EBC. CWB1/GM/28-4-26 Experimental Chassis No. 11-EX. The original battery supplied with the above chassis from W. is still in use. It has been taken off the car only for the purpose of charging it up, as on the return of this car from France it was found to be seriously run down. Pn{Mr Northey} has already reported (Pn{Mr Northey}7/DN/14426 regarding the battery container and the battery box, both of which have given trouble and the latter has been completely renewed during the test. As regards the various cells of this battery the general opinion is as follows:- 1. Oldham and 2. Fuller Very good, very little water indeed required, no spilling apparent. Cases appear in good condition. 3. & 4. Exide. Fair, considerable amount of water required to make up. Cases appear in good order. 5. & 6. P. & R.{Sir Henry Royce} Poor, a great deal of water required to make up. Cases cracked and leaking. This car with battery will be returned to W. Experimental Dept. on Thursday 29th April. CWB. | ||
