S/W. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Copy to Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} X8900 CWB2/GM/3526. Re:- Chassis No. 11-EX. The above car has been appropriated for duty with our Chairman for which purpose it will be required at the commencement of the 3rd week in June at latest. There is about 14 days required for attention to the body work details and in order that there shall be proper time for everything it is necessary that the car should be re-delivered to Sales in London not later than the end of this month. Would you therefore arrange that the work of testing the car now after its 17000 mile trip, of completely stripping it for examination and of re-assembling it as a standard car with all parts which are unduly worn made good together with retesting, is completed by the end of May. Should there be any difficulty in carrying out this programme, will you please advise me at once so that the matter may be further considered. CWB. | ||
