Having had a number of Phantom III rocker shafts twisted as much as 10º by apparently small impacts, it is necessary that we get out a design for the 8 cylinder "Silver Wraith" which will include a stronger rocker shaft and heavier follower roller design. Whilst I consider the present rocker shaft and follower rollers are satisfactory for our present production of Wraith and Bentley, I am sure that the increased weight on front of 8 cylinder Wraith demands a thorough investigation of the steering to ensure complete safety. I would also suggest we consider the strength of the Phantom III roller with the strengthened rocker shaft, which will transmit heavier shocks. [Handwritten note:] F.J.H.
