1256 To Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/TWO. from Rn{Mr Robinson}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation} Rn{Mr Robinson}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}16/ET.13.3.41. WELLWORTHY PISTON RINGS Ltd. Order No. A.32629. Re your memo Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/TWO.2/CS.7.3.41, will you please ask Wellworthy to use the 24 piston blanks concerned on normal Merlin production. These were originally required to produce a modified machining operation to an otherwise standard Merlin piston, because we were told that these could not be produced from standard blanks. Wellworthy found, however that they could, so the 24 special blanks can be used up. The only difference is extra material left on the inside of the piston, which will be removed during production line machining. Rn{Mr Robinson}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation} | ||
