at Cricklewood, believing the Works could overcome the trouble. I have in most cases, with the assistance of the Experimental Dept. dealt with these cases. The fault which has not yet been definitely proved, is in our opinion due to lead deposit on the ignition plugs. Further research work is needed to clear this fault up.

P.III. complaints are being carefully noted. A case of oil level indicator sticking was immediately dealt with by the Works, and excessive allowances cut down to prevent any further cars suffering from this fault.

Complaint - 20/25. 25/30. Bentley.

Knocks from front axle control. A modification to the anchorage has been run 8,000 miles on G.B.17. in France. The results were very good and it is being standardised. Arrangements are being made to incorporate the bottom bearings only to existing cars, the brackets, etc. having not been altered.

Petrol Pumps, All Cars.

Complaints of noise, leaks and failure. The new diaphragms are now ready, and pumps with all the known modifications are being fitted to production cars. Depot sheets dealing with cars outside have been issued.
