Dear Mr. Evans,

We should like to thank you for the interesting time you gave us yesterday.

Confirming the verbal arrangements which were made:-

CRANKCASE. Sand Casts.
You will supply us as soon as possible with two Bentley crankcases for which you already have the pattern in L.5 alloy.
We should like you to confirm that this is correct, and that you prefer this to Z.3. as this was mentioned during the conversation.

We are asking you for two crankcases instead of three in case we find some modification necessary to compensate for the reduced strength of the alloy when compared with the RR.50.

Other Parts Sand Cast.
We are going through the pattern position of various other parts which we should like to try in the less costly alloy, and will let you have these patterns to produce the necessary castings as and when they become available.

The parts will include:-
Clutch Pit
Sump
Timing Cover
Rocker Cover
Gearbox. Dashboard.
