X.4264 DA. {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to CJ. c. to Wor. {Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. to BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to E.O. X.4267 X.4364 RE COSHANK 11 REVISED PEDAL, STEERING COLUMN, AND DRIVERS' SEAT POSITIONS. We send you herewith drawing No.Lec.1357 shewing the above. This drawing cancels Lec.1323 in respect to the side elevations, but the latter drawing is still the authority for the lateral positions of the pedals in the chassis. The position of the steering column given on the attached drawing is based on the suspension of the steering box, for which you have a scheme at present in progress. Mr. Royce considers that the steering column support on the dashboard for "D" steering can be entirely hidden by the upper footboard, which may have a split metal plate sur-rounding the column where it passes through the footboard.
