* A-P" signifies that item has been agreed to in principle, but that sufficient results have not yet been obtained for full agreement.

'H' signifies those items which, for various reasons, have not been agreed to as part of 200 order.

A second column gives suggestions made for future developments not on the 200 order. N.B. Was not considered.

(1) (H) Performance.

CY. STATES;
Must await tests with 19 x 7" wheels. We do not consider present P.II performance adequate for U.S. requirements in 1931.

Wer. referred to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}13/E29.11.29. which says "we shall normally continue to improve steadily the performance of P.II as regards acceleration." He also mentioned we are carrying on with experiments, and performance is a matter which should be discussed with S. and Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}

Cy. stated that the Phantom I and Phantom II are not good enough as they stand for cities in U.S.A., and referred to the easy change gearbox. Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} here drew attention to the heading of Cy's statement, and suggested:

(1) that we ought to say the units and parts in the Experimental cars at present are the best we know of, and -
(2) that Cy's specification provides for items not previously agreed to, either in the Minutes of the Meeting held at Verrey's Restaurant 28.11.29., or in the specification agreed by the American Company as per WhrA/D20.1.30. and -
(3) Cy's request for better performance may be a target at which to aim, but better performance than the two model chassis now being made cannot be promised for the 200 order.
