20HP. IMPROVED BONNET. X5260 X5250 X5500

Thank you for your BY7/G21528.

We are under the impression that the producing of the radiator bonnet and dash of GL.{G. Linnett}Y.2. chassis as standard will need no designs from us. All the modifications call for no fundamental changes and we would be glad if you would set out the bonnet and radiator and dash on the following lines, and go ahead with getting the change on the 2nd. half of 'N' series.

DASH.
Merely increase the dash to the new dimensions, and move out the bonnet angle to suit. The water gutter will move out to correspond.

RADIATOR.
Raise the radiator/1.400 by adding that amount to the matrix. It may be necessary to correct the slope of the top of the radiator tank to suit the reduced slope of the top hinge of the bonnet.

BONNET.
This will be set out on present lines to suit the new dimensions.

In view of all the work we have in hand of a really experimental character we do not wish to devote time to any routine drawing or delay the introduction of this valuable feature while it waits an opportunity for us to deal with it. Since you made a radiator, bonnet, and dash to these dimensions for Mr. Geoffrey Smith, we presume you will have all these drawings already made.
