The production continuity and sanction for 20/25 HP Chassis, Series C.2.

| K.554 To BX. from ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ----------- 20/25 HP. Chassis - Series C.2 ----------- Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} has now given authority to proceed with manufacture of a further 200 such Chassis (Vide Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}3/M30.10.33) and at the same time has confirmed that the output will continue at the rate of 15 per week until the end of March; the net result being unless a special effort is made in the matter, it will be extremely difficult to maintain continuity of output. Such sanction should have been released some 5 weeks ago, based on our usual 22 weeks. Fortunately Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} gave us authority on 3.10.33 to order the necessary Bar and Billet for such Chassis; but even with this, unless we make a special effort, I am afraid there will be difficulty in maintaining continuity. If, therefore, you could arrange to let the Order Office have releases as quickly as possible, it would help considerably. ROY{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
