Loss in Voltage - Head Lamp Wires.

With reference to yours BY/Cgh{W Clough}8/G.11.9.31,
we cannot say that this is the first we have heard of
any suggestion that head lamp wires cause a drop in
the voltage.

This has been raised on previous occasions,
in one case I believe by Mr. Salamanca, and I
understand that a test was undertaken and reported on by
the Experimental Department. The case was also investigated
by Mr. Davies and a demonstration was made in the Test
Dept. that when using the standard 36 watt headlamps there
was a drop of .2 volts. This with 60 watt bulbs would
be increased practically 100%.

This case certainly seems to be one which should
be dealt with and a report made out pointing out that
there is nothing in it or that there is ground for complaint
and some alteration is being made to overcome it.
