On receipt of RL/M12.11.28 I asked that enquiries should be made as to why we were using a body for demonstration purposes on the lines mentioned in your memorandum. It would appear, however, that you have received incorrect information in regard to the construction of this body as I have now received a report as follows:- "I do not of course know the source of R's information that we were using for our latest trials closed car one with a metal top the centre part of which had been cut out and replaced by leather. The C.S.C. have been anxious for some time to have covered bodies with all leather roofs and the one fitted to this car has a leather roof and quarters." BJ. | ||
