COPY S/W. (BY) Hn{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders}10/I/5-5-31. 40/50 WHEEL CARRIERS. We are informed by Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} that R.{Sir Henry Royce} agrees that on N-2 series chassis we need not have a spare wheel at the back when a luggage grid is fitted. Therefore, on N-2 series chassis we shall want to be able to offer a luggage grid as per N.Sch:3032 instead of the present Types 2 and 4 grids. The Type 2 grid, of course, was designed on the assumption there would be a wheel at the back and the Type 4 grid is an adaption of the Type 2 and suffers in appearance in consequence. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} has asked us to enquire of you what are your commitments in respect of grids of the present Types 2 and 4 and in connection with rear wheel carriers for N-2 series chassis. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} also desires us to ascertain when you can have ready for inspection a sample new type luggage grid as shewn in N.Sch:3032. Could an apron as shewn in prints Sch:1464 be used with such a luggage grid? Please let us have all this information quickly. Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} | ||
