To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} X-317 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}20/KW.13.6.36. Packard Balance Weights for Phantom III. The deflection test we conducted on a Phantom III crankshaft showed that the restoring couple required is 60% of the centrifugal out of balance at 15% to the line of Nos. 1 & 6 crankpins in the same rotational direction as on the Bentley. We should like to have a shaft with this type of balance weight available for the Continental Phantom III. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
