Hall is fitting his new streamlined body on this car and taking it over to Monthlery next week to see whether its performance is up to expectations. He will also take it round the track. Before he can fit the body the following modifications require carrying out :-

(1) A bonnet staple fitted to the frame each side, as shown by chalk mark.

(2) Bonnet catches raised as shown by chalk mark so that they will be above fairing. To make a good job of these it would appear that new bonnet sides are needed.

(3) The exhaust pipe lagged from where it leaves the front undersheet to the second cross member. Hall is having a complete undershield fitted to the car and the object of the lagging is to prevent him getting too hot. We want an 18" extension welding on existing pipe to clear body at the rear.

(4) Can we get lamp brackets 2" forward to help lamps clear cowling.

In addition to these items, will you please do the following -

(1) Fit a pair of standard road springs in place of the thick leaf springs at present fitted.

(2) Pack up the front buffers so that the front wing clearances will be adequate with 6 x 19" tyres.

(3) Change the rear axle gears to 11/41.

Hall will be calling for the car on Monday next, the 20th inst.
