- 4 - Road Wheels -Hub Fixings(contd) direction. Trials Cars. It was agreed to let W. have back one of the Trials Cars and for S. to manage with only one instead of two for the time being. Experimental Cars W. will require two bodies for these two chassis which are now being built, and it was agreed that we should purchase from the Coachbuilders concerned two of the bodies exhibited at Olympia which will best suit our purpose, and that in the interim it shall be one of these two cars (dummy chassis) that shall be handed over to Smiths for the jack experiments referred to previously. As soon as W. require these two bodies they and the dummy chassis will be returned to the Works. 12 Extra Chassis Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} indicated that he hoped to let us have these by the end of January, and S. will in the meantime proceed with a suitable allocation of these. Loss of Water This matter was referred to, but it was considered to be solely due to leakage by the Valve, which presents no difficulty. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} guaranteed that this trouble would not arise with production cars. Deliveries of Chassis on Production Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} indicated that it seems very unlikely that they can adhere to the programme already laid down whereby deliveries commence to S. in March. S. pointed out that they had already allowed a month's leeway and were basing their deliveries to customers as from April. Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} suggested it was more likely to be May before they commenced, but as in the interim S. are to receive 12 extra chassis, i.e. a fortnight's supply, the situation does not look too bad with all these points taken into consideration. It was agreed that it was better to be late and have the cars right than deliver them prematurely and have troubles. | ||
