We are expecting Mr. Hives here on Monday to further discuss the "Goshawk(Aero Engine)(Codename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after Kestrel(Aero Engine))" and other experimental work. We are handing to him drawings for the following:- X.3501 (1) Swallow(Experimental 3rd LINE MODEL 12/15hp 2-3 seater) Flywheel and Clutch - Lec.1443. X 3458 (2) Swallow(Experimental 3rd LINE MODEL 12/15hp 2-3 seater) Gear Box - Lec.1468 and 1481. X 4410. (X 4421 crossed out) (3) "Goshawk(Aero Engine)(Codename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after Kestrel(Aero Engine))" Distributing Board with Auto Switch combined - Lec.1469. (4) Arrangement of Magneto on "Goshawk(Aero Engine)(Codename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after Kestrel(Aero Engine))" driven from the rear end of the dynamo, including new front end of the dynamo to permit of setting of the magneto - Lec.1479. X. 4384. Arrangement of starter motor in lower position permitting the aforementioned magneto location - already sent. - Lec.1475. X3579 (5) Autovac tank for 1/2 gallon for "Goshawk(Aero Engine)(Codename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after Kestrel(Aero Engine))". X4390 (6) Arrangement of 40/50 HP. shewing carburettor on the valve side and magneto moved to the pump side, the object being to get a hot spot induction pipe with present cylinder castings. This drawing also shews modification to water pipes to prevent cracking of soldered joints, causing leakage through expansion and deflection of crankchamber. - Lec.1480.
