Re X.46 - the Marston Radiator.

This should be carefully compared at once with a radiator of the same pattern and size to ascertain if there is any advantage due to the different type of cooling surface which is used with this pattern compared with our own.

The test need only be comparative and it does not matter what the weather conditions may be, but the temperature of the air as well as that of the water should be carefully noted, the radiators being alternately changed during the day.

I presume that this is of the old standard shape - if it is decided to improve the top tank by reconstructing it in thicker metal I think that it would be as well, if we can conveniently manage it, to make up the new pattern with sloping shoulders and a bottom tank suitable for the latest type of suspension which, I suggest, shall be known as the sphere underneath type.
