| 1269 EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.10/JH. 24th August, 1938. Skefko Ball Bearing Co.Ltd., Luton. For the attention of Mr. G.E. Goodall. Technical Dept. Dear Sirs, Referring to our conversation today when you visited our Works, we find that three of the water pump bearings in question (DES.1.132948) have been ordered and were delivered on 25.6.38. The writer will accordingly return these to you shortly in order that you may verify their grease packing. On completion of your examination of the three bearings we would like you to despatch us three of your latest type. These will be new bearings of course if the three above mentioned prove to be old type, in which case we will send you a fresh order. In the meantime since it is essential that the engine into which one of these bearings is going is not delayed, we would like you to forward us one of the latest type bearing units, immediately on receipt of same we will then forward the above three bearings.
