Messrs. Attwater & Sons Ltd.,
Hopwood Street Mills,
Preston.

For the attention of Mr. F.{Mr Friese} Attwood.

Dear Sirs,

We are interested in using cotton bonded or asbestos bonded bakelite material for water pump bearings (½" dia. spindle running to 7,000 r.p.m. water lubricated) and would like to know whether you market any material which you consider suitable for this purpose.

If so will you please let us have particulars and send us a sample length of bar, approx. 1½" diameter, together with a quotation for supplying such bars in production quantities.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
