For the attention of Mr.Leslie.

Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your letter of 17th inst., and for drawing attention to the error in our Drawing No.201, in that the clip dimension should be 2.7/8" and not 1.7/8".

Although the work on the 1550 lbs and 1550 lbs Phantom III 7 plate springs is in hand, we find that owing to the Christmas Holidays, and urgent requirements for you on other Springs, we are unable to promise delivery of these before the early part of the New Year. You may be sure however, that we will give the pair of 1350 lb springs especially our best attention.

We are interested to learn that you are considering trying out our Special Spring Clips on a Bentley in France.

With regard to the rigid fixing of the Jacking Pad to the channel clip, there are several ways in which this could be done, but since your requirements in this respect are special features which may necessitate maintaining existing dimensions of the pad unaltered in any way, as suggested to you on the telephone yesterday, we think it better if you could visit us to discuss the matter in detail, to enable us to arrive at a prompt and satisfactory solution.

When you return the 2 springs we shall be pleased to make the necessary alterations.

Yours faithfully,

THOS.FIRTH & JOHN BROWN LTD.

H.W. Parker

for Director.
